Toots with introduction hash tag is fine, but I would say that users should fill the same info also to profile description.
This is where you usually look into when some stranger interacts with you...

Wow, there is a lot of new people on . Musk buying the seems to be a really big oportunity for Mastodon's spread.
The biggest challenge always is to make them stay here. In the past Mastodon failed at this when was cancelled...

2️⃣ I fixed the situation when crawler is redirected to a large file or to an endless stream when searching for nodeinfo api.
This situation used to block the crawler until the memmory run out. Then it crashed and process was restarted. So it also slowed down the crawling.

1️⃣ I finally added a method to the crawler, that removes users from index if they disappear. For example when their accounts on instances are deleted or marked as not public. ⚰️ 🗑️ ♻️

You know how Spamhaus wrongfully added us to their spam blocklist because some malware retrieved a public profile on here? Like, made a normal HTTP request to a public page that happened to be on our domain? Well, I obviously contacted them and had us taken down from the list, but now Kaspersky seems to have taken that information and added us to their blocklist. I've contacted them as well but this is getting ridiculous.
